GNSWE (German Network for the Study of Western Esotericism) joined the ESSWE regional networks

2018-05-01 10:22 | ESSWE admin (Administrator)

The GNSWE is founded as a regional network of the European Society for the Study of Western Esotericism, and thus similar to other local ESSWE networks. Apart from promoting an interdisciplinary, open-minded yet critical, cutting-edge Study of Western Esotericism in German-speaking academia, its main goal is to establish an active network of German or Germany-based scholars who work on topics related to “Western Esotericism”. The network will be supported by an online database which lists current research projects and personal profiles, and which introduces young scholars and PhD students into the field, thus facilitating their search for experts and mentors on specific topics. The GNSWE further encourages its members to cooperate by means of joint panels on conferences, the organization of workshops or conferences, or co-authored publications.
